For the chicken:
- 2 chicken breasts, sliced in half horizontally to make 4 thin pieces total
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp onion powder
- 1/4 tsp cayenne
For the Hoisin sauce:
- 4 tbsp hoisin sauce
- 2 tsp sriracha
- 5 tsp honey
- 2 tbsp water
Mix breadcrumbs and all seasonings together in a shallow bowl. Coat the chicken breasts in a thin layer of olive oil. Dredge the chicken in the breadcrumb mixture until they are completely coated. Pan-fry with vegetable oil, or air fry on 390 degrees for about 10 minutes, or until golden and crispy. Set aside to cool.
Mix hoisin ingredients together and bring to a boil in a small saucepan. Once boiling, turn heat to low, and let simmer for a few minutes until slightly thicker.
Plate up your meal and drizzle the sauce over the chicken. Enjoy!
*If you prefer grilled chicken: Skip the breading, season the chicken breasts, grill them on medium heat, and toss in the sauce before serving!
